About Dr Vibha Jaiswal
Journey to the Bay of Plenty
Dr Jaiswal moved to the Bay of Plenty in 2021, embracing the region’s vibrant lifestyle and strong sense of community. Her son attends a local primary school, where she actively supports PTA events, and she started a book club with that has been running for over a year. Beyond her medical practice, Dr Jaiswal loves the Bay’s natural beauty, regularly visiting the beach near her home, exploring the Eastern Bay of Plenty hills, and taking road trips throughout the motu.

World-class training and experience
Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists are surgeons who have undergone intense and competitive training to diagnose, manage and treat Ear, Nose and Throat conditions. Dr Vibha Jaiswal MBBS FRCS(ORL) trained in the United Kingdom and has Vocational Registration in ENT Surgery in Aotearoa New Zealand. She has worked in major UK centres as part of her training culminating in a Cochlear Implantation and Skull Base Fellowship in the West of Scotland, UK in 2020-2021.
Since arriving in the Bay of Plenty in 2021 she has provided Specialist ENT services in the Public Health system in Tauranga, Whakatāne and Rotorua. She was part of the team that restarted the Ear, Nose and Throat day case operating in Whakatane in October 2023 allowing for Tamariki in the Eastern Bay of Plenty to have treatment much closer to home.
Passion for community and personal interests
Dr Jaiswal’s dedication extends beyond her profession. She is passionate about cooking healthy and flavourful meals, drawing inspiration from Meera Sodha’s cookbooks, and stays active through reformer Pilates. A lover of the performing arts, she enjoys attending local performances like Les Misérables at Baycourt and values the Bay of Plenty’s rich cultural offerings.
Whether providing expert medical care, supporting local initiatives, or exploring the natural beauty of the region, Dr Jaiswal is proud to call the Bay of Plenty home and to serve its community with expertise and compassion.

- The Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand information site covers common symptoms such as ear infections, change in voice, and nose bleeds.
- UK National Health System – Scotland
- A patient information resource for common Surgeries to treat ENT conditions written by doctors in training in the Waikato Region.
- Migraines can present with ENT symptoms and have only been partially treated for some time. The Migraine Trust website is a good starting point if your GP or ENT Specialist offers migraine as one of the causes of your condition.
